This juicy open steak sandwich will become a family favourite. Served with a tasty Caesar dressing on an open baguette!
The ingredient of Open Steak Sandwiches
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves crushed
- 2 teaspoons chopped thyme
- 250g vine ripened cherry tomatoes
- 2 x 200g coles graze grass fed beef porterhouse steaks
- 1 coles bakery baguette split halved crossways
- 3 4 cup 185ml caesar dressing
- 2 tablespoons finely grated parmesan
- 120g pkt coles australian baby rocket
- 1 2 red onion thinly sliced
- 1 avocado stoned peeled thinly sliced
The Instruction of open steak sandwiches
- preheat a barbecue grill or chargrill on medium high combine the oil garlic and thyme in a small bowl brush 2 tsp of the oil mixture over the tomatoes cook turning for 5 mins or until tomatoes are just starting to split transfer to a plate
- brush the steaks with half the remaining oil mixture and season cook for 3 mins each side for medium rare or until cooked to your liking transfer to a plate cover with foil and set aside for 5 mins to rest thinly slice
- meanwhile brush the remaining oil mixture over the cut side of each baguette slice cook cut side down for 2 3 mins or until lightly toasted
- combine the dressing and parmesan in a small bowl spread half the dressing mixture over cut side of each baguette slice top with rocket tomato steak onion and avocado drizzle with remaining dressing mixture
